BILL MOYERS' KNEEPADS

B+B:

The last time we saw anything like PBS' Bill Moyers' interview of the racist Rev Wright last Friday it started an impeachment proceeding. That "interview" is the Second-Most famous act of fellatio in national political history.

Rumor has it that Mr. Moyers' kneepads (same size as Monica's!) will be auctioned off for the NAACP legal defense fund.

The National Crime Lab is poised to announce test results for DNA residue on Moyers' blue blazer.

IS OBAMA/WRIGHT DIVORCE REAL?

B+B:

The establishment media is in swaety, frantic overdrive endeavoring to convince everyone that what happened yesterday as an Absolutely Legitimate event, whereby Obama Denounced and Disowned Rev Wright.

But it was not, is not, credible and 0-Bama did Not denounce and disown Wright - merely some of his more hilarious and vile statements.

Mark My Words: Should Obama become President, Jeremiah Wright will be at the inaugeration; he will be in our White House; he will be associated with President Obama.

REPARATIONS

B+B:

For anyone who believes Reparations are an appropriate remedy for the scourge of slavery and years of racism, good news: The Mainstream Media are taking Hitlerian Rev Wright seriously - i.e. as though he were Not a racist and a madman. Soo, too, are they Not holding Barack Hussein Obama to account for his open support of and association with this Black David Duke.

Reparations? You got 'em!

This tolerance of Wright's insanity is absolutely a form of Reparations.

HILLARY'S ARE BIGGER THAN OBAMA'S

B+B:

Hillary is unafraid to debate.
In fact, she is challenging Barack Hussein Obama to debate "any time, any place" - which
0-Bama is afriad to do.
Because he got beat up - by a woman - in the last debate.
Because 0-Bama fears another debate(s) will yield more Inconvenient Truths about who
0-Bama is and what he believes.
So he hides.
And Hillary mocks him and waves his political cowardice in his smug face.
Meanwhile, the key voters 0-Bama can't attract - and most needs to win a general election - are the very ones most negatively impressed and alienated by o-Bama's refusal to do the American thing: Debate.

Maybe 0-Bama can Run From Hillary, but he cannot Hide From McCain in a general election.
Then and there he will have to debate.
Hillary wouldn't have a problem with that - but that's because she's got bigger ones than
0-Bama.
Who wants to be Commander-in-Chief.

THE IDIOT REVEREND

B + B:

The imbecile racist Rev Wright's Sink-Obama Tour continues, and the benefits (i.e. damage to 0-bama) are great and, before it is over, nearly incalcuable.

Though there is certainly more to come (the idiot is scheduled to address the National Press Club Monday), just what he has spewed at Sunday morning's Dalas church event and Sunday night's NAACP dinner is already enormously awful.

The worst/best example thus far is his criticism of President John F. Kennedy's legendary and beloved inaugeration remark "Ask not your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." as an example of Bad English. His lesson: we musn't ask young African Americans to speak real English (i.e. "ax" is an entirely acceptable equivalent of "ask").

If there is a medicine for Obama's bleeding away white blue-collar voters, this isn't it.

THE WRIGHT STUFF

B +B:

Talk about the gift(s)-that-keep-on-giving: the America-hating pinhead racist "Rev" Wright AND race pimp "Rev" Al Sharpton.

Evidently - and ironically - there IS a God!

Only amateurs (and Obama apologists, see: Sunday's Meet The Press) believe that anything Wright now says matters at all; the Fact that Wright has re-emerged from under his slimy rock, to provide a pretext for the endless media replay of his vile beliefs/remarks, it a crippling blow to Obama, thus the Democrats, hence a gift to America!

Even Wright's "corrections" - to a somber and ludicrously sympathetic Bill Moyers on PBS - are, per se, making matters worse. The more this imbecile speaks, the more votes Democrats lose! Schweet!

And our old friend "Rev" Al Sharpton gloms onto the (entirely justified) NYC police use-of-deadly-force case to refresh his Race Pimp credentials.
"The racist cops did it!"
How odd, then, that ALL THREE cops who fired their weapons were either Black or Hispanic. Which are the KKK? The African American cops? The Latino cop? Both?

Sensible people (i.e. who hold jobs, pay taxes, are not incarcerated, speak English, etc.) appreciate THE ONLY QUESTION in such circumstances is "Was The First Shot Justified?".
If so, ALL subsequent shots fired were justified. A good shooting.
This first shot was.
All the others were.

And Sharpton's very visible and sickenginly familiar role - hey, guy's gotta eat, right? - as "family spokesman" is another tired, hateful act that spins another million votes from the left to the right.

Both Wright and Sharpton are clearly significant gifts from the god of our choice.
Thank you!

Can we Please get televised prime-time Dem Convention speaking slots for these men of the cloth? Be worth two million votes....Against Them!

TEN BIG POLITICAL THINGS I (and, hence, You) KNOW

B+B:

Do remember where you first heard these points, would you? These are the Big Issues dominating the Presidential Race Rght Now

Have you noticed that...

1. H Clinton's focus on THE ECONOMY (i.e. It's The Economy, Stupid - B Clinton, circa 1992) is trumping, big time, 0-Bama's weak "HOPE" and "CHANGE" rap? I.E. Blue collar white voters are responding greatly more - and greatly more positively - to her Bottom Line Jobs & Family Finances message than his amorphous, new-age babble, which launched his campaign but which is now running on empty. Obama needs a message overhaul. This Week. Now.

2. H Clinton is a (comparatively) Happy Warrior, to which voters always respond well. 0-Bama is behaving like an angry, sourpuss...to which voters also always respond - negatively. Hey, Barack: act like you enjoy this stuff - or you won't have to suffer it much longer.

3. 0-Bama the "Great Unifier" has suddenly become the Great Divider - going from the man who would transcend race to the Race Candidate...which is a Loser.

4. Any/everybody who says "Pennsylvania didn't mean that much/wasn't that much of a boost to Clinton" (i.e. 0-Bama supporters, especially the "objective" "journalists" on Sunday's Meet the "Press") are Whistling Past The Graveyard.

5. Don't look now, but the last time 0-Bama had a victory was FEBRUARY (Wisconsin). PLus: he has failed to win ANY of the country's 10 Most Populous States (incl'd Democrat electoral college must-win venues Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Ohio).
This is createing an image of a candidate slip, slip, slipping away. He needs a big, significant win (i.e. WHITE VOTERS) right now. North Carolina & Indiana next Tuesday would do fine.
Or cripple him.

6. Adding to the pressure on 0-Bama to win Indiana is the fact that 1 of 4 Indiana voters live within/watch/listen to Chicago media - making this a "home game" for Obama. Lose here, and it is almost like losing in his native Illinois. And he might well lose here.

7. Because - and only because - of this extraordinary life & death struggle between the two Democrats, Clinton and 0-bama are being forced to Campaign (i.e. Waste Resources) In Several States Democrats Almost Certainly Lose In The General Election!
Were it not for the need to make tactical gains, headlines about beating each other, both Clinton and 0-Bama would surely have taken a pass on states like North Carolina, and many others, which Republicans historically own. A crippling waste of financial and other major resources needed for a successful general election. Schweet!

8. This one hurts.
The by-product of these primaries - however otherwise harmful for the Democrat candidates and their party - is likely to be substantial gains in new registered voters and, just maybe, voter interest and general turn-out.
Here's the consolation: IF young people and minorities actually turn out on Nov 4th to vote in anything like their numbers in the population it will be The First Time. So, chances are it, as historically usual, Won't Happen.
Here's hoping.

9. Watching Meet the dePRESSsed today was yet another fine example of Why The Maninstream Media So Often Get It Wrong.
The presumably "balanced" panel included four painfully transparent Liberal Democrats, and one dot.com correspondent.
The point-of-view expressed (and it was) was openly supportive of the Democrats, and particularly apologist for 0-Bama.
I am here to tell you: THIS is how one gets gets to be a regular guest on network news shows, and reguarlay quoted in the national media - Be Liberal.
(On a personal note: I am especially proud to have for 2o+ years appeared on and been frequently quoted in the most prominent national news media - e.g. CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC, PBS, Fox, MSNBC, CNBC, NPR, Boston Globe, New York Times - written op-ed, On Request! - Washington Post, Time Magazine, Newsweek, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, interviewed in prime time by Tom Brokaw, etc., etc....and NEVER, EVER compromised my libertarian/conservative viewpioint in order to please anyone, other than Myself and You.)

10. African-American political consultant, CNN analyst, former Clinton operative and Dem Super-Delagate Donna Brazille actually said on television Sunday that the reason Rev Wright is being invited to speak before black religious (and other) groups is because black clergy views criticism of his racist remarks "as an attack on the black church"...that criticizing Rev Wright for his incredibly ignorant, fantastic, hateful, racist beliefs is "hurting race relations"!
Get that: the CRITICISM of Rev Wright is hurting race relations!
Stupid, very public remarks like Dem Super-Delegate Brazille's is an additional factor driving a Huge Wedge between Barack (Hussein) 0-Bama and thoughtful voters white, brown, and black.
Schweet!

These are ten things I know.
They will shape American politics this week and beyond.
Schweet!

POLITICS THIS WEEK

B+B:

THIS WEEK: WEIGHING PENNSYLVANIA, ANTICIPATING THE NEXT ROUND.

Guru Jay here, with this week's Political Template, to wit:

Suddenly, The Question is not "When will she quit?" but, rather, "Why Can't Obama Close The Deal?". And the difference, now and later, is enormous.

Think of the Democrat Nomination fight like a grown-up - well, older - SATs. Last Tuesday's Pennsylvania Poll-ka didn't change the Math (Obama considerably ahead on delegate points), but it utterly transformed the Verbal section, i.e. how the race is covered by the media, perceived by the voters and, thus, how it influences the decisions of Delegates.

The stage is being set - The Rationale established - for Democrat Delagates to consider backing Clinton on the perceived basis that He Can't Win, She Can.

Either way, it is going to mean a devestating - perhaps mortal - self inflicted wound for the Democrat Party.

Schweet.

This new, Comeback Kid II dynamic will dominate this week's political coverage/conversation, leading up to NORTH CAROLINA and INDIANA - either or both of which might again shake the ground and change the reality of this national contest.

Stay tuned.

PENNSYLVANIA POLL-KA: 8:29p

Dear B+B:

"MONEY CAN'T GET EVERYTHING, THAT'S TRUE...BUT WHAT IT CAN'T GET, I CAN'T USE." - Song lyric, "Money"

Worth noting: The DAILY, CASH cost of running the Clinton campaign: One Million Dollars.

And the Clinton campaign is flat broke.

The only way to raise operating cash: wake up Wednesday morning able to present to supporters the plausible notion that your campaign has a viable chance of prevailing.

Can Mrs. Clinton make that case tomorrow morning?

If so, she goes on, virtually irrespective of tonight's numerical result.
If not, not.

Money remains "the mother's milk of American politics".

PENNSYLVANIA POLL-KA, LIVE

Dear B+B:

It is 8:09 and I have just been invited onto my friend/colleague Michelle McPhee's show - to say this: it is right now "too close to call"...and despite the bizarre fact polls have been closed only 9 minutes (are we accustomed to instant gratification, or what?!) I must observe that if Clinton is expecting to overwhelm Obama here (i.e. double digits), she and her supporters must be very anxious and greatly disappointed.

That is: is HRC is/was going to win by 10 pts or more - which indeed she needs in order to change the story line of her slowly sinking campaign - the networks should have been calling this as "an apparent big Hillary win" even by Now.

This would seem - Seem - to indicate that Mrs. Clinton may "win" - but "win" by fewer than 10%. If that is the case, maybe 7-8% will keep her on life-support...but 5% or less = Death.

(Death is defined as EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT ALIVE LINING UP TO DEMAND "FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY" SHE WITHDRAW FROM THE RACE IMMEDIATELY.)

I am standing by, on Death Watch, and will check back in presently.

HILLARY CAVES

B+B:

It is over.

Not because Obama had a strikingly weak debate performance, which he surely did: He again refused to strongly denounce Rev Wright. He stammered, wavered, and flopped on the crucial issue of support for Israel.

But these are merely killers in the General Election. As for the Dumocrat Primary, that ended Wednesday night at 8:15 p.m..

At that moment Hillary Clinton yielded to the frankly inevitable: with one answer she signaled surrendur to Brack Hussein Obama.

Clinton was asked the single question affording her the opportunity to make her essential - and only - case, i.e. the same one she has been making behind the scenes to super-deleates: "Obama is unelectable, cannot win."

Clinton was asked, directly: "Can Barack Obama win in November?"

Instead of arguing her case at this crucial moment, Clinton instead replied "Yes."

At that instant, the Clinton argument, the Clinton rationale, hence the Clinton candidacy ended.

It was inevitable, but I did not expect it to happen quite so soon, nor at Clinton's own - seemingly suddenly pacifist - hands.

IF CLINTON CANNOT - OR WILL NOT - ARGUE THE CASE THAT OBAMA IS UNELECTABLE, SHE HAS NO ARGUMENT, PERIOD.

Write it down: with that answer tonight, Hillary Clinton conceded defeat.

Did some big Democrat get to her? (i.e. "Do whatever you want tonight - but if you want any future in this party, Do NOT tear Obama apart.") I don't know.

But the "Obama is unelectable." horse Clinton has been privately riding for weeks wasn't in the stable.

And, as a result, this horse is officially no longer in the running.

APOLOGY

B+B:

I write this stuff myself, submit it myself; I have no editor, no one to spot and correct my editorial mistakes - of which I routinely make several.

This past Sunday I posted a blog riddled with errors (actually, a redundant draft I neglected to delete prior to posting, which would have confused anybody, including myself).

This is because one cannot edit one's own work. But I do, and I am often guilty of incorrect spelling/typos, etc.

For this I am truly sorry.

It's not like I don't care. I do.

I simply don't possess the editorial skills to make it flawless.

I am however happy to say these errors are typographical, not ideological: everything opinion I state is mine and proudly so. No mistakes there.

So please forgive my typing - and join me in my opinions.

Thank you.

OBAMA'S WORST ENEMY IS CALLED BARACK.

B+B:

Are Obama's rookie mistakes are the gift-that-keeps-on-giving. or what?

Every time Obama seems to have Clinton on, or near, the ropes, he lands a staggering punch..on his own chin.

Obama's Bitter White Voters Who Cling To Religion and Guns slander is going to further alienate white voters, thus breathing new life into Hillary Rodham Frankenstein's campaign just when she most needs it: prior to Pennsylvania and Indiana, where his remarks will hurt him and help her the most.

This almost certainly enables Clinton to struggle along another extra several weeks - eventually losing the nomination race...but long enough to damage Obama with several more weeks of attacks.

Plus - schweet! - Obama's new breathtakingly stupid, elitist, bigoted remarks not only ensure Hillary hangs around longer, erupting at inconvenient times like a case of political herpes, but it also likely hurts him so much more with white voters in key swing states that, once nominated, he cannot win in November.

Not to mention: Obama has wasted and been hurt by a weekend new cycle that features not his positive message but, instead, gives us several days of national news and discussion focusing on
his latest self-inflicted wound!

Does it get better than this?

Stay tuned.

Excelsior!

JS

(1) Remember when, just several weeks ago, Obama seemed poised to pull away from Clinton? Remember what stopped him like a head-on collision, breathing new life into Hillary Rodham Frankenstein? Yes - the alienation of millions of white voters by the racist, anti-American Rev Wright. Well, just for those few who weren't offended, these new Bitter White Voyers

Obama's rookie candidacy - and the rookie mistakes it yields - is the gift that keeps on giving for Republicans, and anybody else who wishes Democrats to lose on November 4th.

You can't win without White, Catholic, Blue-Collar voters - especially in but not limited to, rust-belt swing states (e.g. Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, et. al.).

And just in case Rev Wright didn't finish off Obma wth those voters, now

Q: When Obama was pulling away from Clinton, what killed his momentum and maybe kiled his chance to win the general election?

OBAMA'S CHARACTER SUICIDE (Act II)

B+B:

First came The Reverend Wright Bomb.

And only Obama supporters of Totally Blind Faith - or the Blind - still believe this association did not damage their candidate, perhaps on the level of a mortal wound, with key white middle class voters.

Now comes Obama's breathtaking arrogance - and, plausibly, character suicide - as he declared Pennsylvania working class voters are "bitter" people who "cling to guns...or religion...or antipathy to people who are not like them...and anti-immigrant sentiment."

You know, Racist Rednecks.

And what you've heard (until now) isn't the worst of it: please note Obama accused voters not supporting him as "ANTI-IMMIGRANT" - which is a lie. What they - we - are is anti-ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT".

ILLEGAL, get it?

Funny how the entire mainstream media missed/neglected to mention this crucial distinction.

The awful bigots Obama sees under every bed not his own are not opposed to immigrants - because they descended from immigrants, as are we all - but, again, opposed to Illegal Immigrants.

Meanwhile: "Cling to religion"?! "Antipathy to people not like themselves"?!
This surely solidifies Obama's status as unable to attract many white working and middle class voters - thus Unelectable in a General Election.

CHARLTON HESTON, REST IN SLANDER.

B+B:

So overnight Saturday night I am, as is my most peculiar wont, listening to the BBC...from which I learn that legendary actor - and, Yes indeed, citizen political activist - Charlton Heston has passed away.

Now, you have to be at least as old as me to remember Charlton Heston. Not the late night cable re-runs of Planet of the Apes Charton Heston but, rather, the Prime of His Career Heston: the definitive "Moses" in The Ten Commandments and, of course, his epic Oscar-winning lead role in Ben Hur (best actor, best picture + 9 others). Stealing a timeless line from Mad Magazine (the one, universal source of a certain brand of twisted humor associated with my generation): "This man had a 150 lb. toothbrush." Ok, you had to be there.

My point is this: the moment I learned of Heston's death, I knew - KNEW - from a lifetime of grim, disheartingly consistent observation, that Heston's obituary would be skewed and screwed and slammed and slimed.

Why? Because he was "a conservative". Not merely a conservative, according to the BBC, but a "far right winger". What did poor Moses do to deserve this unsentimental trashing of a send-off? Easy: he served a president of the National Rifle Association. That's right: Charlton Heston committed the mortal, unforgivable sin (vis the establishment media template) of...Horrors!...not just believing in, but publicly supporting the Second Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States of America - the right to bear arms.

Obvious lunatic.

But just one thing is missing in the media's unceremonious death notice. Do you know what it is?

Somehow lost in translation of the "news" media's coverage of Charton Heston's passing is the fact that he marched with Martin Luther King for human and civil rights...in the 1950s.

In the 1950s.

Long before today's civil rights gods - like, say, the Kennedy's, the Gores, et. al. - even privately thought about it.

But that doesn't make most obituary coverage. Doesn't count. "Head of the N.R.A." "Gun advocate" "Far right-winger".

That is the "news". That is how the media makes sure conservatives are remembered. With the lone exception of Ronald Reagan, whom they didn't Dare treat disrespectfully in death, that's the treatment every conservative - i.e. anyone sufficiently radical to believe what the Founding Fathers believed and died for, and the principles on which our entire civilization are based - will be treated to.

But media history isn't History.
And good, patriotic men are still Good Patriotic Men, - no matter what the BBC or the Boston Globe say.

That was Charton Heston's legacy.
And ours.

SUNDAY MORNING, HIGH ANXIETY.

B+B:

As for the past, oh, 35 years or so, it is a Sunday morning and, like all true civics geeks, I am planted in front of the TV screen watching the Talk Shows.

And, as almost always, I am experiencing High Anxiety caused by something that makes me worry for our Republic in general, and my freedom and money in particular.

Lots of Liberals making a big deal out of B. Hussein O'Bama's vapid pledge - and only campaign issue - of "Change", sometimes, "Hope".
And making Nothing of the fact that the Clintons raked in $50 Million personally in the last few years, and the Clinton Museum/Whore House $ FIVE HUNDRED MILLION - much of it from foreign governments and left wing groups barred from exceeding the $2,300 maximum campaign contribution....but, hey, no problemo!, they are allowed to pay off the Clintons (what else is new?) via the back door.

These liberal mouthpieces are not obscure fringe shut-ins; they are figures like Gov Rendell and US Sen Casey of Pennsylvania, among the media's "most respected democrat strategists" , blah, blah, blah...and they say - and don't say - these alarming things with both a straight face, and the total validation of the "mainstream" media (in this case, the Sunday Morning Program And Host Of Record, NBC/Tim Russert/Meet the Press).

Virtually undiluted socialism - and truly it is - "mainstream".

Meanwhile, with the personal-freedom-death-sentence of confiscatory taxes and the American-culture-malignant-cancer of illegal imigration by far the two most crucial domestic issues of our time (i.e. opposition to both, defeat of both), all three candidates for President are on the wrong side of both: the next President, whomever/whichever party, has a past record and a current fever of support For Higher Taxes and Illegal Immigration. No alternative, no choice. Woe is us.

Then, of course, Meet the Press was Off To The Races, as it were, with a segment on the murder of MLK. (Let me reiterate here, as on the radio, that all decent Americans were and are deeply offended by the murder of anyone because of their ideas, especially public/policy ideas, and most particularly someone whose life was devoted to the non-violent prosecution of human rights...for American citizens!)

But looking forward - in Dr. King's honor, name and memory - with a frank African American Agenda of Socialism is wrong, wrong, wrong. (And ever-likely, inevitable, inevitable, inevitable.)

Now here comes Eric M. Dyson of - where else? - Harvard (home of Loony Lonnie Guanier, she of the "Blacks' Votes Should Count More Than Whites' - really), declaring that Obama's spiritual leader and best bud, the racist cretin "Rev" Wright, is "the new Dr. King." Indeed? Was MLK hiding something big from us - or is this just another Harvard professor off his (race) rocker?

And who's next? Ah, it is Andrew Young, demanding - again, in King's name - race reparations
in the form of "a checking account for every American"! (Yes, of course, paid for by deducting money from YOUR checking account...because the taxes you already pay are too low.) "Not having capital is as eggregious racism as not having the right to vote" I believe Young is hallucinating, now, as I listen, unsurprised.

Oops - can you top this?! Here's Prof Dyson again, seeing and raising Young's idiocy, self-righteously lecturing us on the point that only Barack Obama can Heal The Nation. (I do not feel sick, do you? And if I am symptomatic, the cause is taxes and illegal immigration.)

Wait - here comes Dr. Young again: "we must start dealing with poverty now." What, we haven't trid?! Again: trillions of dollars, the machinery of government, a substantial portion of our GNP (and personal earnings) and forty years of genuine good will have failed to eradicate - or even dent - illigitimacy, illiteracy, drug addiction, poverty. Are we sure More Of The Same is The Answer?

Yes, Yes, Yes! All the left wing taking heads agree. Political Correctness does not merely thrive, does not merely dominate - it chokes out all other viewpoints (which, tragically, just happen to be the Truth).

And off of this - with gruesome irony - on the 100th anniversary of the National Press Club...that august bastion of "Journalism". It is a museum of ancient history.

Just another Sunday Morning Talk Show on the Road to Creeping - no, sprinting! - Socialism.

ON POLITICS AND THE ECONOMY

B&B:

ON POLITICS (in which I am expert)

1. KEY THEMES OF THIS ELECTION: The appalling absence of ultimate choice. Irrespective of political self-identification (i.e. repub, dem. ib. consv, et.al.), audience recognizes and loathes the idea that no matter who wins, the next President will be supportive of higher taxes (see: Dems + McCain opposition to Bush tax cuts) illegal immigration/no borders (see: Dems + McCain-Kennedy), political free speech (see: Dems + McCain-Feingold), constitutionally-oriented federal judges (see: Dems + McCain Gang of 12), Global Warming Hysteric (see: Dems + McCain campaign) etc. etc. The next President, no matter whom, will be of fundamentally liberal orientation according to majority of my audience - and they resent it.

2. THE AFFECT OF A CLOSE RACE ON THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY: As of May 1, Ralph Nader - whom everybody dismissed, but on my show we recognized as prospectively lethal - is polling at 5%!! That is likely a wider margin than the ultimate general election margin of victory/defeat. Political ignoramus believe Nader's impact is "unpredictable" or "hurts both major candidates". Demonstrable Twaddle. 99% of Nader's vote would otherwise go Dem. Thus, so long as Nader support runs at even 1%, he can be huge (i.e. decisive, Dem-killer) factor. Run Ralphie! Run!!

3. WHO WILL WIN THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION??? I predicted in national print, radio, TV in 1998 and with somewhat obnoxious regularity ever since HRC's exact route/timing/location of her Pres ambitions. I was right in 1998 and since - but now, owing to her deeply flawed campaign and understandable negatives, I place her nomination prospects at 1-10. Which is a pity for Dems, because she could beat McCain. Obama, who CANNOT BE ELECTED will win Dem nomination and lose to McCain. And there will be riots.

4. WILL CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS WARM UP TO SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN? No.

5. WHO WILL WIN IN NOVEMBER AND WHY? Contrary to conventional wisdom (always conventional, rarely wise) America IS prepared to elect an African-American (see: Condi Rice, Colin Powell, et. al.) but Not a Leftist African American, period. The combination of (1) backlash by Dems who refuse to vote if their candidate loses nomination, hence Dem under-voting (2) Dems who vote for McCain (3) underperformance (vis population % of eligible voters) by African-Americans (4) underperformance of young 'voters' (5) attraction by McCain of exceptional numbers of Independents and Dems (5) Ralph Nader..will elect John McCain.

ON THE ECONOMY (in which I am, decidedly, Not an expert)

1. HOW DO YOU COPE WITH RISING EVERYDAY COSTS? Vote against all Democrats.

2. ADVICE FOR SHORT TERM HOME BUYERS OR HOME SELLERS: Prayer.

3. HOW COULD A BANKING INDUSTRY COLLAPSE AFFECT WORKING PEOPLE? I recall in the 1980s first seeing/hearing "we are an equal-opportunity lender". I and many of us, instantly recognized there has never been, and is not, and can never be, any such thing. Some people are qualified buyers (i.e. they can pay loan back), some less so - and the difference is discernable, even obvious. "Equal opportunity lender" meant/means "we will substitute political judgement for fiscal judgment and lend lots of money to people we know in advance cannot possibly re-pay it...and pass the burden onto the gov't (i.e. all the other people who are re-paying their own loans). The banking/mortgage collapse is not complicated it is welfare write large.

4. IS THE WORST OF ECONOMIC TIMES BEHIND US OR YET TO COME? As we are evidently unwilling to apply standards that are strictly Fiscal - as opposed to Politically Correct, "Humanitarian" - i.e. fantastic), so long as we pretend, and actually practice as policy, that "everybody" "deserves" (X) - e.g. big car(s), a bigger house than they can possibly afford, etc. - we are yet to have even a Taste of how devastating this could be.

(Other than that, I am keenly optimistic!)

Respectfully submitted this 2nd day April, 2008 A.D.

Jay Severin
