B+B:
He can't.
Conservatives have principles.
We do not compromise them.
And when someone - most especially a supposed confederate - betrays us, we may forgive, but we do not forget.
John McCain betrayed conservatves on taxes, judges, illegal aliens, free speech - to name more than is necessary to forge an indictment.
Then, having insisted he has recognized and corrected the error of his liberal ways, he just days later bashed a conservative radio for the sin of pronouncing Barack Hussein Obama's name.
So much for rehabilitation.
"What can McCain do to win back the loyaty and support of conservatives?", all the media moderates wail.
The answer is Nothing.
Juan McCain believes he can - and would prefer to - live without us.
The feeling is mutual.
Good luck, Juan!
Excelsior!
